This month ICAAL have been able to combine two of our favourite things: helping people and golf. Playing golf may seem like just a simple leisure activity. However, by supporting ROCAL’s charity golf day in aid of Victim Support, we have put meaning behind every swing.
Following the success of last year, ROCAL are putting on another charity golf day on 6th September. We couldn’t wait to get involved and sponsor the event! If the promise of a hole-in-one competition offering a £20,000 prize and a lunch of pie, chips and peas isn’t enough to spark enthusiasm, the chosen charity certainly is. This year, all the money raised by the event will be going to Victim Support. They are a fantastic organisation that supports the victims of traumatic or violent crime. A very worthy cause!
Victim Support offer free and confidential help 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Through their life-changing work, thousands of people regain confidence and a sense of security. Their services range from emotional support to practical guidance on issues such as insurance claims and criminal justice. When we heard that ROCAL were donating the money to such an important cause, there was no question that we would help.
