Were you one of the thousands of people in Southampton who showed your support for the Mayflower Park Firework display? We’d like to say a huge thank you!
This year’s display saw a record breaking number of visitors, with an estimated 10,000 people enjoying the event.
Local charities including The Samaritans, Simon Says, The Scouts, Radio Lollipop, Youth Options and Hamble Lifeboat will benefit from the generosity of the local community and the volunteers who donated their time or services toward the event.
ICAAL Promote Mayflower Park Firework Display With A Bang
Giving back to the community and supporting local charities is something that ICAAL are immensely proud of.
When asked to promote the much loved Round Table event, ICAAL were excited to help.
We ensured the event was promoted throughout Southampton, donated the time of the ICAAL team and helped oversee the ticket sales of the big event.
A Sleek Website For Seamless Sales
In order to create a smooth payment process for online sales, the Web Designers at ICAAL created a brand new website, completely free of charge.
Our in-house team studied the user journey of the old website and created a fresh design. This allowed members of the public to access tickets quickly.
The modern and simplistic design proved extremely successful, contributing to the record number of online sales.
An Explosion Of Creativity – Graphic Design and Digital Marketing
Additional factors that helped achieve this record breaking figure included the hard work of our Graphic Design team.
Our Head of Graphic Design donated a huge amount of his time to create distinctive promotional materials, including posters, flyers and the all important tickets.
Knowing that the sales from the tickets would be donated to local charities created a huge sense of pride. This resulted in an outstanding level of work, in keeping with ICAAL’s history of exceptional campaigns.
Furthermore, four tickets to the event were also donated as part of an online competition.
The prize draw saw a local winner from Eastleigh win tickets to celebrate Bonfire Night. In turn, this also helped boost ticket sales even further.
With a record number of online sales achieved, The Round Table could confidently open the event, knowing that the worthy causes would receive sizeable donations.
A Proud Moment For Southampton
Commenting on the firework display and the efforts of all those involved, Southampton Round Table said: “It was phenomenal, really amazing. Without the hard work of the 15 Round Table volunteers who give up so much of their time, and the network of businesses and organisations that help us out, this simply wouldn’t happen. This is a great example of the community coming together to do something that people enjoy, that raises thousands of pounds for charity.”
As well as the anticipated fireworks which were organised by double world firework champions Pyrotex, the event also offered a range of food stalls, a variety of games and traditional fun fair rides.
Local singers including ICAAL’s own, Toby Janes, also entertained the large crowds.
Speaking on the success of the event Toby commented “It was great to see so many people supporting the event. Brilliant turnout, lots of money raised for local charities, and a spectacular display. Only too happy to play a very small part, great evening.”
